Introduction
The Department was established in December 1998 in response to the changes in Taiwan's industrial structure, overall social changes, and economic structure, resulting in an increase in women's employment, late marriage, a decrease in the fertility rate of Chinese people, changes in family structure, etcand child welfare policies to improve the quality and quantity of infant and child care in response to the national policy.
The Department offers a wide range of learning programmes, combined with collaborative teaching by industry experts and in-depth industry internships, to help students connect with the industry at an early stage and enhance their employment rate.
The Department began enrolling students in the 1999 academic year and has a four-year day department and a further education department. It mainly cultivates: 1. kindergarten givers with professional ethics and professional attitude of education and protection, 2. nursery personnel with qualified professional infant and child care capabilities, 3.family education professionals with family service functions, 4.after-school care personnel with children's tutoring, 5.teaching activity design cultivate personnel with professional knowledge and diversified industry related personnel with infant aesthetic education.
